The first Remembrance event we held was in Nov 2020 at The Nueva Trinidad Bar in Arboleas. In total there were about 30 group members who turned up. All looking smart and with donations for the raffle, we grouped together and Nick Galley, one of the groups Army Veterans recited the Exhortation and a lament was played on the bagpipes by the association President Craig Badley. The association treasurer, Steve Jackson then proceeded to entertain with singing and provided some karaoke. Only those who serve, will understand why Remembrance involves several pints and the need for some good old vibes, it is what many of the fallen, our friends, would have wanted.
A wonderful first event that raised, through donations and the raffle an impressive €343.82. which was donated to the Chairman of the Royal British Legion, Zurgena branch.
