About MBLV

A little about the Military & Blue Light Veterans

The Military & Blue Light Veterans (MBLV) group was founded in February 2020 by Craig Badley, a British Armed Forces Veteran of 23 years. The concept was simple, to create a small social group, formed of military veterans, emergency services and prison service retirees of people living in Spain.  A group where friendships could be forged and memories made.

Three years on and the group is now registered with the Junta Andalucia as a ‘not for profit association’ and has grown year on year, with over 300 members and holding regular social events, which have included casual ‘Meets’ and formal dinner nights. The aim of the events, is to have fun and make new friends and memories. A by product of the event is funds being raised for one of our chosen local charities or individuals in need.

All being either military veterans or emergency service (inc Prison Service) retirees, together with our partners, we always try to have fun in whatever we do.  Whether it be our formal Christmas dinner which is a black tie event and always great fun, or our informal Meets, we enjoy each other’s company and catching up over a drink and/or a bite to eat.  It is great to meet new people and listen to their stories and their experiences and currently our members are not just British expats, but also American, Canadian, Dutch and Belgian, we do not restrict the MBLV to one nation and welcome veterans and retirees from all around the World, as long as they live in Spain.
