From an idea just over 12 months before, who would have thought that not only did it go ahead, but it was to be such a success! As the saying goes, from small acorns, mighty oaks grow.
The line up was Bite the Bullet, Best of Three, Rebs on the rocks, Disco Inferno and Seldom Sober! All acts were amazing and we were so grateful for their time, talent and efforts. The legendary Jack Law was not only a performer, but was also our stage manager, taking full control of the line up for the night making sure it ran as smooth as possible, and it did! Thanks Jack!
The place was packed, we had over 300 chairs, all occupied, all the tables in use, 12 x 60 litre barrels of draft beer emptied, over 70 bottles of wine guzzled! It was simply INCREDIBLE!
The day raised an unbelievable €5,750 for charity, which this year was split between The ‘Make a Difference’ (MAD) Campaign for Ukraine and the Arboleas Food Bank… Well done everyone and THANK YOU!
Arboleas Rocks could not have happened without the organisers, a small group of people all with the same passion to succeed, THANK YOU Anji, Pat, Keith, Craig, Matt, Victoria and Tracey together with everyone else who contributed to the event, helped on stalls, attended and supported it and of course to the Ayuntamiento de Arboleas, who provided so much support to make this happen, you all ROCK!
Standby for next year, Arboleas Rocks 2024, it’s gonna be big, it’s gonna be fab and it’s gonna rock!
